PUPIL PREMIUM AND SERVICE PREMIUM
The school receives an annual Pupil Premium grant from the Education Funding Agency based on the number of “Ever 6” students i.e. students who have been eligible for Free School Meals at any point in the previous six years. This grant is provided in order to address any inequalities or underachievement for eligible students.
Pupil Premium grant is used in the following ways:
1. To provide all students on Free School Meals at any point during the current academic with an individual Pupil Premium Account which can be used at the parents’ and student’s discretion to cover the cost of a range of curriculum based activities and costs
2. A contribution towards the following staffing costs:
3. Other specific costs such as mentoring, additional targeted tutoring, the cost of external workshops or conferences for particular students
In addition, the school receives a Service Premium grant for those students whose parent(s) is/are currently serving in the armed forces. The school retains this funding centrally to support the needs of these students on an individual basis.
