School took part in ‘Grow Seeds from Space’ programme
Two Y8 students runners-up in the vehicle design challenge, competing with over 300 schools.
Fourteen Y10 - Y13 students took part in national ‘Bar Mock Trial Competition’ – Regional runners-up
Six Y12 students won regional heat of the ICAEW Base National Business and Accounting competition in Exeter
Six Y12 students took second place at the ‘National F1 in Schools’ competition
Y12 student Max H travelled to Calais during half term holiday, to give refugee camp the donations he had collected from the school and wider community
In February, 241 students from Years 7 and 9 contributed to a Guinness World Record attempt to complete a bumper book quiz on World Book Day.  The record for the ‘Most people taking part in simultaneous literature quizzes in multiple venues’ was smashed, with more than 6,000 adults and children taking part across the UK
A team of five girls gained a place in the national finals for 'Girls into STEM VEX Robotics - Nothing but Net' competition
Five school teams reached the semi-finals of the prestigious national IFS Share Challenge
Four students in Y8 and Y9 secured a place in the national finals for the ‘UK Team Mathematics Challenge’
Nine Y12 students won the regional round of the European Youth Parliament debating competition.  They will compete in the National Final later this year.
Autumn 2015
Six Y11 Design and Technology students invited to take part in the Engineering Education Scheme at HMS Raleigh.  The team will now work with local company AMSAFE, Bridport - to complete an engineering project
Y10 student Talulla B became National Champion in her age category in the British Rowing Championships
Y13 student Beanie S won the ‘Christina Broom and the Suffragettes Writing Challenge’ with a poem in the Young Poets Competition.  She also achieved highly commended in the Foyle Young Poet of the Year competition
Y7 student Rupert G was award a shield after being chosen as Exmouth Sea Cadets 'Junior Cadet of the Year 2015'
Seven Sixth Form students received prestigious Arkwright Engineering Scholarships
Five Sixth Form girls competed in the Girls’ into Engineering Robotics Competition - one of only 20 teams to be chosen
Three Y11 students attended the ‘Lesser-Spotted Sciences Day’ at Oxford University - giving an introduction to some less well-known sciences
Issie P and Martha H (Y13) produced and directed a version of ‘Footloose’, the stage musical, which ran for three nights in November
A team of six students won second place in the British Schools’ Score Championship in October, organised by the British Schools Orienteering Association
Y10 student Ollie T won a place on the ‘German and Sport’ residential scholarship - a one-week residential course in Germany to improve both his German language and football skills
Y13 student Kye S gained a place in the U17 women’s hockey team, representing England in the Sainsbury’s School Games
Netball teams became County U14, U16 and U19 Finalists
U14 Girls’ became East Devon Hockey Champions
Y9 students collected 1,357 items of food donations for the 'Kos Kindness' appea,l to help refuges on the Greek island of Kos. They raised over £70 as well as three full car-loads of items such as coats and sleeping bags
Y10 students collected 1,357 items of non-perishable food for the Exeter Foodbank appeal
Sixth Form students attended the Institute of Physics’ Festival of Physics at Exeter University
Sixth Form students represented the school at the Sidmouth Science Festival in October, supervising many hands-on science experiences for visitors
Y12 Geography student, Dan V, was named overall winner in the National Geographic Society’s ‘Young Geographer of the Year’ competition, in the Key Stage 5 category.
Two teams attended the local final of the English Speaking Union’s ‘Churchill National Public Speaking Competition for Schools’ at Blundell’s School in Tiverton
School's Mathematics department is awarded the Prince’s Teaching Institute Mark
